This week we had a chat with Emma Rive and her absolutely amazing transformation!
Ever since she walked in the door she has worked hard, challenged herself and has remained consistent!
It all kicked off when she turned up to start a 28 day Transformation Challenge…
CF: Before finding citywide, what was your struggle? What were your biggest frustrations?
ER: Biggest frustrations were combining nutrition, exercise and posititve mental attitude. I have always exercised but the key for me was having all 3 elements active and working together. Before CW i would train and then reward myself with chocolate! Hilarious! 😂
CF: How did your struggle and frustrations affect your life? What did you feel like before you made your transformation?
ER: How it affected alot of my life (although i didn’t realise that at the time) …I had alot of negative self talk and didn’t believe i was worth making myself a priority and taking the time to care for me.
How did I feel? I was continually tired and lethargic and constantly bloated. I was the carbohydrate queen before CW. I didn’t feel I was the good role model for my children I should be.
CF: How did our program help you?
ER: It helped in all aspects of my life. I see food as fuel now not as a reward. My taste buds are completely different and I no longer crave sugar but more importantly I LISTEN to my body and nourish it with what it needs for me to continue on my new path. The support from staff and other members has been oustanding!
I was SO nervous the 1st day I walked in and was sure everyone was staring at me. I realise now that was all in my head. I have changed the “conversation” in my head now and the world looks very different. The oustanding difference for me with CW was this wasn’t something i would do “until i reached a certain weight or until i looked a certain way”- it is now my new “normal”
CF: How is life different for you now?
ER: Life is SO incredibly different! I feel I am more “plugged into life” rather than struggling thru each day and then collapsing into bed. I always walk out of CW feeling better than when i arrived. I am stronger, I love the changes I see in my body (a big thanks to TT for that) but I am more excited about my mental changes – i made myself a priority , I am worth it and for that I am very grateful to the CW team.
Emma what can we say except you’ve done an amazing effort!! You showed up, you applied yourself and worked hard!
Now after continually challenging yourself and remaining consistent you have the results to show for all your efforts! You totally smashed it girl!
